When it comes to the vast realm of dentistry, various specialists focus on different aspects of oral health, ensuring their patients receive the most effective treatment for their specific needs. Among these specialists, prosthodontists occupy a unique position, offering services that go beyond the scope of general dentistry. Understanding the differences between a prosthodontist and your typical dentist, as well as the benefits of consulting a prosthodontist can help you make informed decisions about your preferred dental care.

What Sets Our Prosthodontists Apart

While general dentists tend to provide comprehensive oral care, our prosthodontists are specialists who have completed three additional years of training post-dental school, focusing on restoring and replacing damaged teeth. At Denver Restorative Dentistry, our skilled prosthodontists specialize in restorative treatments including dental implants, dentures, veneers, crowns and bridges. Do you know how much of a role your oral health plays in your overall well-being? Any impairment in your oral function can significantly impact your quality of life. The good news is, restorative dentistry offers a range of procedures designed to restore oral function and improve the overall health and appearance of your teeth. From dental implants to bridges and dentures, these interventions have revolutionized the field of dentistry, allowing you to regain your confidence and enjoy a healthier, more functional smile.

Dental Implants

One of the most valuable advancements in restorative dentistry is the dental implant. Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are surgically inserted into your jawbone to provide a sturdy anchor for replacement teeth. They not only enhance the look of your smile but also restore normal oral function so you can chew, speak and bite again naturally.

Bridges

Bridges are another important restorative dentistry procedure that can help improve your oral function. A dental bridge is a fixed appliance that replaces one or more spaces left behind by missing teeth. They literally bridge the gap between the remaining natural teeth. The bridge is anchored to the adjacent healthy teeth, offering much needed stability and restoring the ability to chew and speak again properly. By filling the empty spaces, bridges also keep the surrounding teeth from shifting. This helps protect your bite against misalignment.

Dentures

Dentures are available in both partial and complete sets. They have long been a traditional solution for those dealing with multiple missing teeth. In the case of complete dentures, they are great for replacing all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw, while partial dentures are effective when some natural teeth are still present. Dentures are adept at enabling proper chewing and speech, while also restoring the natural appearance of the smile. Thanks to modern advancements in dentistry, dentures have become more comfortable, natural-looking, and functional than ever!

Restorative Benefits

If you are struggling with missing or damaged teeth, dental implants, bridges and dentures can restore your oral function and improve your quality of life. By restoring oral function, these procedures help you regain the ability to eat a balanced diet, speak clearly and maintain proper oral hygiene. This often boosts your self-esteem and confidence should!

Missing or damaged teeth can cause social anxiety and make you feel self-conscious about your appearance so you can smile with confidence, interact with others without hesitation and improve your overall self-image.

What sets us apart when it comes to helping our patients get the healthy, beautiful smile they need and desire? Our full-service practice at Denver Restorative Dentistry allows our skilled prosthodontists and dedicated team to provide specialized dental services to meet your unique needs. This includes cosmetic, general and restorative dentistry treatments in Broomfield, Colorado.

Additionally, all of our lab cases are done in our office by four full-time lab technicians, and we are the only dentists in the area that have an on-site full-service dental lab. You can feel confident that your restoration will be made of premium quality materials thanks to our state-of-the-art equipment that ensures optimal results.

Drs. Goggins, Aguirre, Pitz, Poineal and Chertok oversee all of your lab work so you can expect your high standards to be met. We are pleased to offer the following options to restore your beautiful smile:

-Dentures: Our team can make custom-fitted full dentures, partial dentures, overdentures or implant-supported dentures so you can eat and smile comfortably again.

-Implant-Supported Dentures: We make beautiful, natural-looking All-on-4® implant-supported dentures that will stay comfortably secured in your mouth.

-Full-Mouth Reconstruction: Using full-mouth reconstruction, we can provide various restorations (bridges, crowns, implants, veneers, dental fillings, dentures).

-Crowns: We use zirconia and porcelain crowns to restore a badly damaged tooth that fit over the entire tooth from the gums up so your tooth looks, feels and functions naturally.

-Bridges: Our custom-fitted, fixed dental restorations effectively replace one or more teeth in a row.

-Dental Implants: We replace one, multiple or complete arches of missing teeth using a titanium implant post that is surgically installed in the jawbone for the most stable restoration.

-Fillings: Our dental filling restores a tooth damaged by minor to moderate tooth decay so it can look, feel and function normally again.

-Inlays and Onlays: These custom partial crowns fix tooth damage and decay by restoring the tooth’s health, function and appearance. Inlays are done when the damage has not reached the tooth cusps, while onlays fix the damage affecting one or more tooth cusps.

-Veneers: While not technically a dental restoration, these thin porcelain or resin shells are bonded to the front of your teeth to fix minor tooth damage like chips.

Our prosthodontists strive to provide you with personalized dental care so that you feel relaxed and comfortable during your time in the chair. All of the lab work is performed on-site which helps you save time and doctor visits! If you need adjustments to your restoration, we can help you while you wait. Our team’s mission is to help you smile with confidence for years to come. We welcome you to give us at 303-586-1019 to learn how we can help your smile thrive!

At Denver Restorative Dentistry in Broomfield, Colorado, our prosthodontists are pleased to provide our patients with the latest in technological advances for quality dental restorations and a healthier smile. Drs. Goggins, Aguirre, Pitz, Poineal and Chertok can give you the dental care you deserve as comfortably as possible with restorations that can last for years to come.

-Cone beam 3D technology (CBCT): This imaging system creates a three-dimensional image reconstruction of your teeth, mouth, jaw, neck, ears, nose and throat that allows our doctors to accurately evaluate and diagnose your dental issue and come up with an effective treatment plan. This technology offers a complete image reconstruction, even better than digital X-rays.

-Intraoral camera: This tiny, minimally invasive camera allows us to zoom in on all the various areas of your mouth to take high-definition photos. Easy to maneuver and comfortable for you, an intraoral camera can show our prosthodontists the angles in your mouth that are not normally detectible with the naked eye. This advanced dental tool allows us to precisely assess your dental health while detecting damaged teeth and periodontal disease. We can show you the photos as well as sharing with other dental specialists as needed.

-Dental impressions: Traditional dental impressions can often feel uncomfortable, especially for those with a sensitive gag reflex, but at Denver Restorative Dentistry, our experienced team has the technology to capture accurate impressions of your teeth while ensuring your comfort. While our goal is to take various impressions that will allow us to restore your smile with a crown or dentures, we may use digital impressions to accurately measure your mouth. These are quick, easy and comfortable for you while getting the information we need to create your dental restoration, without using goopy materials to create a mold.

-Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing, or CAD/CAM: This amazing technology helps our prosthodontists and master dental lab technicians create dental restorations using this advanced computer system. Our team can then mill the restoration in our Zirkonzahn 3D milling machine. Whether you need veneers, crowns, bridges or full hybrid arches, this state-of-the-art software and equipment allow us to give you precise and life-like detail.in your dental restoration.

If you are looking for a dental experience that takes your comfort to the next level with the latest technology while restoring your smile, we welcome you to schedule a consultation with our team. Our prosthodontists care about your treatment experience! Call 303-586-1019 to learn more.

Taking good care of your smile means practicing good oral hygiene habits daily and visiting your dentist regularly for cleanings and exams. This goes a long way to lower your risk of tooth decay and gum disease. However, your mouth is still vulnerable to harm from traumatic injury and disease. For example, certain treatments for oral cancer may mean undergoing a full mouth reconstruction to replace missing teeth along with restoring missing structures of one’s oral cavity.

Our experienced prosthodontists can offer you options allowing you to once again have full functionality of your mouth with beneficial aesthetics so you look (and feel your) best. A full-mouth reconstruction expertly fixes damage to your mouth, including severe decay that leaves you needing to replace multiple teeth or even all of them. This is done carefully, combining esthetics and the science of restorative dentistry to give you your life back with a healthy, beautiful and fully functioning mouth again.

Who Benefits From Full Mouth Reconstruction

If you have multiple missing teeth, teeth with large dental fillings that are now failing or showing further decay, have cracked or broken teeth or badly eroded teeth from habitual bruxism, where you constantly grind your teeth together (typically from stress).

Patients who were born with medical conditions like Ectodermal Dysplasia, Ameliogenesis or Dentinogenisis Imperfecta, often turn to help for extensive restoration of their teeth. A full mouth reconstruction can often give them the smile they need and desire. This might mean using onlays, crowns, bridges, veneers, dental implants, and/or dentures that will give them a “smile makeover” while also enhancing their chewing efficiency.

After a thorough evaluation by our prosthodontists, you might be a good candidate for full-mouth reconstruction to restore your oral health. Damaged teeth, tooth decay, dental infection and periodontal disease (advanced gum disease) may be the reason you may want to look into full mouth reconstruction. View full mouth reconstruction photos from previously satisfied patients.

Complimentary Consultation

Our prosthodontists, Drs. Goggins, Aguirre, Pitz, Poineal and Chertok are experts that have performed many full-mouth reconstructions between them. They know exactly what your smile needs to look and feel great so you can smile with confidence. When you schedule your FREE consultation with our Denver Restorative Dentistry team in Broomfield, Colorado, we will evaluate your smile’s current state and recommend the best treatment to boost your overall smile needs. Whether you need a combination of bridges, crowns, dental implants, veneers, fillings or dentures, we’ve got your smile covered! Call 303-586-1019 today!

When it comes to your smile, our state-of-the-art technology allows us to help you get the high-quality treatment you deserve in the most convenient, hassle-free manner possible. Our prosthodontists are proud to be able to rely on the cutting-edge tools, equipment, techniques and materials to deliver our diagnosis and treatments as gently and thoroughly as possible.

Leading Edge Technology

We use a variety of technically advanced tools including the following:

-Cone Beam: Our cone beam 3D imaging technology, also known as CBCT, is an imaging system that allows our prosthodontists, Dr. Goggins, Dr. Aguirre, Dr. Pitz to get a three-dimensional image reconstruction of the components of your mouth — teeth, mouth, jaw, neck, ears, nose and throat. Thanks to this 3D imaging, our team can diagnose and evaluate any developing dental conditions, and then plan an effective treatment for best outcomes. This is because the cone beam imaging gives us a more comprehensive visual than your typical digital X-rays do.

-Intraoral Camera: this tool allows us to get an up-close and personal view of the various components of your smile. It is tiny and easy to maneuver so we can see what is happening inside your mouth at any angle, which we could not see easily otherwise. With this tool, we can determine the extent of any dental conditions, including cavities and tooth decay, tooth chips or cracks and any advancing gum disease. We can also see the effects of a treatment after it has been done, help you understand any dental treatments recommended for you, and even enlist the help of dentists and specialists you might need and work with your dental insurance company when necessary.

-CAD/CAM technology: Better known as Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing, this technology is useful when getting a restorative treatment like dental veneers or crowns, bridges and even full hybrid arches. Our prosthodontists and lab technicians can get your restoration designed with precision accuracy and manufactured so that it looks and fits as naturally as possible.

When it comes to your oral health, our advanced dental technology can give you the outcome you desire in the most convenient and comfortable way possible. We strive to make your time with us positive and with satisfying results you can be proud to show off. We are truly here for your smile from beginning to end, evaluation, diagnosing, designing and implementing your restoration. Give us a call today to learn more!

Healthy teeth and gums give you the confidence you need to smile at the world. If your mouth is suffering from tooth decay, gum disease or other kinds of dental problems, our dental team in Broomfield, CO, is ready to help you get the quality treatments your smile needs.

Each of our prosthodontists, Dr. Taylor Goggins, Dr. Brian Aguirre and Dr. Anna Pitz, provide our patients with quality dental care using the most modern and recent dentistry treatments available, having the knowledge, skill and experience you want when working with a prosthodontic team. Your smile won’t be lacking as they provide you with customized dental treatments that will give you your healthy smile back! Our goal is to make sure your smile feels, functions and looks beautiful.

This is made possible through our restorative dentistry treatments to overcome damage to your teeth and gums so they look and function optimally again. We want you to be able to smile confidently without fear or embarrassment about your teeth and gums. Your results will be natural looking so you can talk and chew wherever you go without worry.

At Denver Restorative Dentistry we offer your smile the following treatments:

-Dentures: restore lost teeth with one of our premium quality denture options – full dentures, partial dentures, overdentures or implant-supported dentures. These are fully customized in our in-house dental lab staffed by skilled master technicians.

-Implant-Supported Dentures: our All-on-4® implant-supported dentures are supported by 4 to 6 implants in each jaw for a secured fit.

-Full-Mouth Reconstruction: Depending on your smile needs, our prosthodontists may combine various treatments to help you fully regain full mouth function. This may involve having bridges, crowns, implants, veneers, fillings, dentures (complete or partial) or inlays and onlays.

-Crowns: These are created to fit over a whole tooth, starting at the gums to return the tooth to its normal size, shape and function.

-Bridges: These can replace one or more teeth in a row as a fixed dental restoration (permanent). This permanent fixture is carefully anchored in place with two custom-made dental crowns that can be placed onto a tooth or a dental implant.

-Implants: this tooth replacement can replace one multiple or entire arches of missing teeth. The dental implant post itself is installed into jawbone where the tooth is missing to replace the tooth’s root, Once this titanium post has fused with the bone it can be topped with a crown or denture.

-Fillings: Made from amalgam or composite materials, dental fillings are great to repair minor tooth problems like decay. First, the decay is carefully removed and sealed, and then the area is filled and shaped to match your tooth’s shape and hardened by our prosthodontists for a lasting restoration.

-Inlays and Onlays: These partial crowns are made from porcelain, composite resin or gold to repair tooth damage and decay. They are slightly more involved than a filling but not as involved as an entire crown.

If you have issues with your smile that requires one or more restorative dental treatments, our prosthodontist can help! Call 303-586-1019 today to schedule your complimentary consultation.
