With spring in full swing and summer around the corner, you’ll likely be enjoying these festive seasons and taking lots of pictures while going to special events like vacations, graduations and weddings! If you’re self-conscious about your smile because of minor flaws in your teeth that could affect your appearance, we have a minimally invasive but beneficial dental restoration option for you!

Cosmetic Tooth Bonding to the Rescue

Tooth bonding is a popular minimally invasive and cost-effective cosmetic treatment option that is also a quick way to improve teeth with minor flaws. The bonding material is applied between the problem tooth’s original enamel and the dentin below it. Once the bonding has been applied it will look and function just like your original tooth did. Our skilled prosthodontists use a shade of composite resin that blends with the original color of your teeth so your smile looks natural. However, If you like, we can use a slightly lighter shade to whiten and brighten the color of your teeth.

Dental bonding uses a tooth-colored putty-like composite material (resin) that is placed onto the tooth, carefully sculpted into shape and is then hardened and polished for beautiful results. This tooth restoration option is typically done in just one visit to the office and is perfect if you have teeth with small cracks, chips, or even gaps between your teeth that make you feel self-conscious when you smile. Once the bonding material is polished, it is permanently bonded to the teeth so when you look into the mirror all you will see is a full, healthy smile!

Why Choose Dental Bonding

This cosmetic dental treatment offers you a variety of cosmetic benefits to give you the smile you want and you won’t have to worry about having orthodontic treatment or trimming down your teeth as you would with dental veneers. You can enjoy dental bonding benefits like these:

  • Saves more areas of your tooth enamel
  • Repairs damaged or broken teeth
  • Closes tooth gaps as needed
  • Durable and long-lasting
  • Expertly molded and color-matched to your nearby teeth
  • Looks natural while blending in with the rest of your teeth
  • Is easier to apply than getting dental veneers

When you come in to get one or more teeth bonded, our prosthodontists and team will attach the composite resin material directly onto your tooth where it will be shaped to fit to correct minor flaws in the tooth’s appearance. Once the composite resin is hardened, trimmed and polished, you can look forward to a lasting, aesthetically appealing restoration to complement your smile. Thanks to modern dental technology, dental bonding is typically done in only one visit and requires minimal to no tooth preparation. You can be confident that time in the chair will be quick and comfortable for you.

Our Denver Restorative Dentistry team in Broomfield, CO, is pleased to offer you the latest in advanced dental technology so you can always be assured that you will receive the highest level of dental care possible in the most comfortable way.

Cone Beam 3D imaging technology: Also called CBCT, this tool is an imaging system that provides our prosthodontists with a three-dimensional image reconstruction of your teeth, mouth, jaw, neck, ears, nose and throat. We use it to better diagnose and evaluate your oral issues and to plan effective treatments.

Intraoral Camera: Our intraoral camera gives us a closer look at different areas in your smile. This tool is tiny and easy to maneuver in your mouth while allowing us to see angles that we couldn’t easily view otherwise. It also lets us better diagnose your oral health and pinpoint dental problems, such as tooth decay, periodontal disease, cracked or chipped teeth. An additional advantage offered by this camera is that it provides images so you can better understand your oral health and the potential dental treatments. We can even send these images to other dentists and specialists as needed.

Digital Impressions: To make those important impressions of your teeth for various procedures that are most comfortable for you, we are pleased to be able to use digital impressions. Dr. Goggins, Dr. Aguirre, Dr. Pitz and our team are trained to accurately take various kinds of oral impressions so we can make improvements to your mouth. These impressions are quicker, easier, and more comfortable than their traditional counterparts which were way more invasive. Remember, we try to make your experience as comfortable as possible, and this is an invaluable tool that makes this possible. If you have ever gagged while getting impressions and molds made, you know exactly what we mean! This digital impression technology offers these benefits:

-They are great for creating dental restorations like dental crowns.
-There’s no messy “goop” left behind for you to deal with afterward.
-We can take the scanner out immediately, reposition it more comfortably and stop and start as needed.
-They require far less time than traditional impressions to make, helping us to more minimize time spent during your appointment.

Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing:  Also called CAD/CAM, this state-of-the-art software and equipment is awesome for use in restorative treatments, helping our prosthodontists and master dental lab technicians alike. With it, we can design and create restorations like veneers and crowns, full hybrid arches and bridges. It also facilitates planning more precise and effective treatment tailored to your needs.

We welcome you to reach out to our office if you have any questions about the advanced technology we use for your treatments, or if you have concerns about your smile. We look forward to helping you create a stellar smile in 2022!

Do you have teeth in your smile you aren’t happy with, whether due to discoloration, stains, cracks, chips, or irregularities? If your smile flaws are making you feel self-conscious, custom dental veneers can change your confidence game! Dental veneers are an excellent solution to overcome imperfections of the teeth, whether you need to enhance one or multiple teeth.

At Denver Restorative Dentistry in the Denver metro area, our team offers a wide range of dental services including custom dental veneers. Our prosthodontists and cosmetic dental experts have helped hundreds of patients improve their smile using dental veneers that we make in our on-site dental lab.

Crafted from thin porcelain or resin shells, our dental veneers can be bonded to the front teeth to give you a Hollywood-worthy smile, just by changing the shape, size and length of your teeth. This may be particularly helpful if you are a smoker or coffee and soda drinker where teeth whitening alone doesn’t quite do the trick.

Thin shelled, opaque porcelain veneers can not only cover permanent dark tooth stains but are also more resistant to staining than your natural teeth. Porcelain is gentle on your gums, making them a good tooth enhancement option. Not only can dental veneers re-shape and straighten out the look of an uneven tooth to appear flawless, but they can also fill in gaps and spaces between your teeth that make you feel self-conscious whenever you smile. Another benefit to porcelain is that it not only conceals damage on the tooth’s surface but is also strong enough to increase the tooth’s structural integrity as well as appearance.

Porcelain dental veneers are designed to blend in seamlessly with your natural teeth so no one knows you are wearing them. By hiding your smile imperfections, our dental veneers protect your teeth that have chips and cracks, keeping them strong and intact. Best of all, dental veneers are easy to maintain! You simply brush and floss them with your natural teeth every day to keep your smile healthy and bright. Porcelain dental veneers are meant to last for decades with proper daily oral hygiene and routine dental checkups and cleanings. Your dental veneers are custom-crafted by our master dental technicians so you get the highest quality results you want.

If you want to take the next step in creating a more attractive smile you can be proud of, our experienced team at Denver Restorative Dentistry in Denver, CO, invite you to meet with one of our skilled dental experts, Dr. Goggins, Dr. Aguirre and Dr. Pitz, to evaluate your smile and help you come up with a solution you will love!  Call 303-586-1019 today and start out the upcoming fall season with your most beautiful smile yet!
