Sometimes this can be a minor problem that chips or fractures tooth enamel. Yet there are some extreme cases when the damage penetrates deep into the tooth, causing trauma to the root and nerve. A telltale symptom of a problem this severe includes heightened sensitivity and strong pain.

In some cases, Dr. Taylor Goggins can repair the tooth with a root canal. If the damage to the root and socket are severe, a root canal might not be a viable course of treatment. For a tooth in this dire condition, they might recommend a total extraction.

After a few weeks, your gums will have fully healed and they can help you understand your dental restoration options. One of the fastest methods for replacing the tooth is with a dental bridge. This is single piece of dental work that replicates the full function and appearance of the broken tooth.
